Christmas Closure & Staying Well Over the Festive Season

Casuarina Holistic Health will be closed over the Christmas break and reopening on Monday 12th January.
I’m taking a short break to rest and recharge, so I’ll respond to emails and messages once I’m back in the New Year.
Before I head off, here are a few simple tips to help you feel your best over the festive season, without missing out on the fun.

Aim for balance, not perfection. Enjoy the festive food and get back to your normal routine the next day.
Balance your plate. Apply the 50/25/25 rule. Fill half your plate with vegetables (salads, roasted or steamed), a quarter with lean protein and a quarter with complex carbohydrates (potatoes / rice).
Eat mindfully and try not to graze all day.
Drink plenty of water.
Avoid holiday binge drinking.
Always eat before drinking.
Move your body daily, even a gentle walk.
Prioritise some rest and downtime, it really makes a difference.
